器の漆直し (Kintsugi )

 

Urushi, Japanese lacquer repair
ようやくフィーニッシュ。
直しの部分を強調させつつ、傷以上に漆直しの部分が大きくならないように気をつけました。
前回のアップで海外の方々が多く見てくださっていたので、ブロークン英語で説明してみました。
I just finished repairing this plate by using Japanese lacquer, Urushi, included other natural materials. 
The process is almost the same as traditional Kintsugi technique except gold finish.
Nearly the final step, I painted red and black lacquer separately, then polished the surface.
Therefore you can see the mottled pattern of the red and the black layered color on the some spots.
I left it as just lacquer look without using golden powder covered over.
